The Job Cost module ties all of the other modules together to give an accurate account of how much a job costs to complete, how much money has been made or lost, and where the job is during the process of completion. A job is given an job number when it is entered into the job master file. All other modules allow entry of that job number to track costs, billings, cash receipts, purchases, and expenses. A data base of completed jobs is built for analysis of which jobs make a profit and which are losers.
The Job Cost module interfaces directly with the Order Entry, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchase Order, General Ledger, Payroll, and Time Card modules.
The Job Cost module shows every item figured for a job. It shows every expense recorded. It tracks what material needs to be ordered, what material has been received, and what products have been or need to be shipped. It shows original price, and all revisions. It shows actual vs. estimated costs. It handles Percentage of a Completion and Completed Contract methods of job cost accounting.
There is an AIA (American Institute of Architects) billing module for those jobs that need to comply with AIA specifications.
A Job Cost General Journal is included to record adjustments within jobs. Cost codes can be assigned to general ledger accounts on a one-to-one or a one-to-many basis.
A full range of reports is included.
